NY Times gave its normal completely unbalanced coverage, that is, at the end, this little eye-popper

Just absolutely genius that the ELCA spent oodles of time, money and effort to get into communion with a church body that isn't even in communion with itself. Perfect. And I still don't really care what historic episcopate is. Sounds like a toothpaste ingredient to me.
The leadership of ELCA and ECUSA should just get into communion and form their own religion. Our lady of of Peace-and-Justice. Leave the rest to us.
