Are we on our way to the anti-church?

The Church needs to be very clear on what is sin and what is not sin!

How can I keep score and know how good I am if the Church is wishy-washy on what is a sin and what is not? I don't want to spend my time weighing circumstances. What do I care what sort of background someone has? If they do sin, they should be punished.

We should stick to the BIBLE! The BIBLE is clear on what is abomination. When I heard that the Luther League group (or whatever they're calling it these days) was going to Red Lobster after church 3 weeks ago I got up in the middle of the service and got my wife and kids and we just walked out. I've read Leviticus. God said it, I believe it, that settles it.

Err, John, as a crustacaen, I truly support your viewpoint as to Red Lobster. However, as a Lutheran, I hope you know that it is your keeping a scorecard that is a-bomb-able. All you humans need to know is that you are a sinner, that the promise of God is to redeem all who call on His name.

But then you know that and I suspect that you know that I am walking the line whether to be pastoral to a layperson or tongue in cheek with a clever insider!

Either way, be blessed and keep coming back. The churhc you save may be your own (figuratively speaking of course).
