Confessions, who write,
but it was none other than ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson who told us about Pr. Nadia Bolz-Weber and House for All Sinners & Saints (HFASS) in Denver, and we're glad he did.You'd never know it from the House's website, but Pastor Nadia is indeed an ELCA pastor (recently ordained) called as a Mission Developer. She is also the Sarcastic Lutheran blogger.
We're beginning to think we understand how it was that the book by Charles Porterfield Krauth -- he is a significant part of the ELCA's 19th Century pre-history -- entitled The Conservative Reformation and Its Theology is being published not by Augsburg Fortress, the corporate descendant of the original publisher, but by Concordia Publishing House.
Theological imagination, eh? We can just feel the Presiding Bishop's excitement.

Not sure what I like the best, but the Pay Pal "Give" which shows up bottom left of each page ranks up there. Can't help but wonder who gave the kids the church as a place to "emerge".
You know, if these people are in the same denomination as me, it really makes you wonder what a denomination actually is.
I do hope the sarcastic preacher drops by and we can dialogue on the meaning of things. I wonder how big the grant from DCM is for this thing anyway.
Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong going on there.
Hope someone tells them that "donuts" has a "g" in the particular form they were using for their Fat Tuesday announcement.
By for now kids. I have to go away for a while and try and think some more without getting so depressed. Stuff like this does not help, Shrimp, doesn't help at all.
First post here. (Or anywere for that matter!) Maybe it's just my dirty old mind...maybe not. But if I saw a vanity license plate HFASS, I'd be thinkin' half a donkey. I don't think this is by accident. Also, I think that the chocolate fountain in the baptismal fount is just a bit too much for me. Peace in the storm!
