Lutherans Concerned Responds to Sexuality Draft

Shrimp here, with a link worth checking out from Lutherans Concerned/North America, "a Christian Ministry affirming God's love for people of all sexual orientations and gender idenities since 1974.". We're not posting the document here because it is not in a form that translates well to a blog. So to read the details you will need to read the pdf document posted here.

LC/NA's introduction reads:

Lutherans Concerned/North America (LC/NA) calls upon all ELCA members who are committed to a church that fully includes people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to respond to the Draft Social Statement on Human Sexuality. In the document that follows, LC/NA has pointed out both language that needs to be changed to be more fully inclusive, and language that affirms a vision of full inclusion.

The Draft Social Statement (see is divided into five sections. Accordingly, the changes recommended below are organized by those same five sections, beginning with STRENGTHS in that section, followed by recommended CHANGES to each section.
Thus saith Lutherans Concerned.

Remember, your response must be submitted by November 1 if you wish to "contribute to the process by which the 'Draft Social Statement on Human Sexuality' will be revised, corrected, and strengthened for 2009."

Happy reading! Shrimp out.
