Smear is smear

Megan is writing up a storm! In comments below she posted a link to Extraordinary Candidacy Project Resources where one finds the provocatively misnamed and phantastically written: Word Alone Supports the Ordination of Non-Celibate GLBTQ Individuals in the Lutheran Church: Exegesis of 1 Corinthians 7:17-40 By: Vicar Megan Rohrer.

Megan, the main thing to point out to you and everyone is that it is purely your opinion that WordAlone is "against homosexuals." All tehy are trying to come against is the teaching that homosexual pracitce is not a sin. We've seen this tactic before, but it is a smear, and I challenge you to stop it.

Correction noted, but I fell for that becasue Megan has refered us to her writing elsewhere (as well as her email if anyone wants to write her directly).

So, the discussion continues: I am one who speaks for the side which wishes to remain Confessional and in the ELCA, Megan speaks for those who have a very different view of the Confessions (one of the few who bothers to refer to them) and Paul as a member of another body who cannot be blamed when they write E?CA

Shrimp- If society decided that it was against the law to ACT Christian. When they told you that you can be a Christian in your heart, but that you cannot ACT Christian would you say that the law is not against Christians?

This seems to be your logic about homosexuality.

I am arguing for the side of the confessions as well. I just choose not to ignore the Smallkald Articles that say that celibacy is against the Gospel and that when Bishops refuse to ordain individuals who refuse to take a vow of celibacy that churches retain the right to ordain.

The flaw in your logic is there is no proof that people are born as homosexual people. Some research seems to point to predisposition, but that is not the same thing.
